Polar Ice is a type of porcelain that is extremely lightweight and strikingly white in color. I make the unique patterns on these pieces using antique lace pressed into the surface to make an impression. I used a non-tarnishing wax gilt to make the pattern pop.
This porcelain has been pressed with Antique lace to produce a delicate embossed pattern in the pure white almost translucent clay. Each piece is unique, impossible to recreate.
