Hexagonal Collection

Inspired by the geometric regularity of rock formations, specifically hexagonal volcanic rock arrangements, I designed these pieces to convey their repeating, yet asymmetrical patterns, and their striking nature. Found in unique regions of the world such as Giants Causeway, Ireland, the columns are formed from cooling to create towering hexagonal shapes and can be so perfectly geometric that they seem out of place in nature.

I have chosen to use aquamarine, tourmaline, and vanadinite gemstones for this collection as they exhibit similar characteristics. Their natural crystal shape is also hexagonal, created and formed in similar ways within the earth."

Each piece is connected by its focus on the strong hexagonal shape and form.
